Jade Lu is the President of SPD Silicon Valley Bank (SSVB). In her role, she leads the teams to empower the China innovative companies and the innovation ecosystem, while expanding extensive relationships with many of the dominate venture capital and private equity firms.
Jade has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. After joining SSVB in 2017, she held several leadership roles from Chief Risk Officer, Head of Corporate Banking to Managing Director of SSVB successively. From 2001 to 2017, Jade took various senior roles in Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank, and played instrumental roles in the Group office, China as well as local branch’s strategic planning, business development and governance.
Jade earned a bachelor of economics from Fudan University and an IMBA from the University of Hong Kong. She was also one of the founding members of the 1st Science and Technology Innovation Advisory Committee by Shanghai Stock Exchange.
