Jade Lu is the President, Executive Director of Board of Directors of Shanghai Innovation (SSIB). Over the years, she and her teams have been dedicated to providing China’s high-growth innovation companies and venture capital institutions with full-lifecycle financial services, connecting and empowering China and global innovation ecosystem, with a focus on nurturing the growth of cutting-edge technologies and innovation companies in pivotal innovation industry sectors i.e. life science & healthcare, artificial intelligence, new energy and climate tech.

Jade has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. Since joining SSIB in 2017, she has held several leadership roles from Chief Risk Officer, Head of Corporate Banking and Managing Director successively. From 2020 to March 2023, Jade concurrently served as the President of Silicon Valley Bank Asia. From 2001 to 2017, Jade took various senior roles in Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank, owning unique and extensive experiences in promoting strategic management, business development and corporate governance of foreign banks at various levels including the group headquarters, China and city-level branches.

Jade earned a bachelor of economics from Fudan University and an International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) from the University of Hong Kong. Additionally, Jade also served as a member of the first Sci-Tech Innovation Advisory Committee of Shanghai Stock Exchange.
